Kelly and the ongoing sausage investigation

Today was Kelly!

It goes something like this:

5 rounds
400 m run
30 box jumps
30 wall balls

I used a 14# ball for the wall balls, and a 20" box for the box jumps. This wod was hard for me today. I felt pretty slow on the wall balls mostly. AND it was chilly outside today on the run! BRRRR. Shortly afer I finished the WOD it started to snow! Crazy because we havent seen a lick of snow yet this year!

My  time was slower then last time I did this almost a year ago
27:16
3 minutes slower then my goal. Not sure what my deal is these last two days but my intensity is way down. I was sick last week with a head cold/cough and am still coughing up crap on these longer WODs. Hopefully next week I can breathe normal!

So the crazy girls I am doing the 12 week paleo challenge have decided to do the WHOLE 30 for the cheallenge, which is paleo, just more strict. Feels pretty crazy to me! hahah Im going to do it too though! I think having rules will keep me on track plus its kind of fun finding and trying new recipes. Ive started the paleo challenge but not the WHOLE 30 yet. I am having a difficult time finding sausage or some kind of breakfast meat that doesnt have sugar, salt etc. in it. I normally just eat the all natural sausage from Costco that is nitrate/nitrite free but after reading on the label that it contains sugar and salt I was bummed. Going to check out the co-op and see what they have!

I made a delicious trail mix yesterday. It is a little recipe invented by my good friend Stacie. I bought dried fruit (bluberries, tart cherries, apples, pineapples) from the co-op, and threw in some almonds, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds, and unsweetened shredded coconut. It is a great snack if you're hungry in between meals plus it has some protein and plenty of good fats, due to the almonds.

Wow, just stood up after sitting at the computer for 30 minutes and my legs are trashed! Lots of stretching is in store for me today!
